Margaux + Sean in Point Reyes

On a beautiful 13th day of October, Margaux and Sean got married in Point Reyes Station. The couple planned the wedding themselves but as the date approached, they realized they needed some extra help on the day of. They brought me on less than a month before the wedding to help put the finishing organizational touches on their 70 person wedding. I am so excited to share these photos, taken by and courtesy of Rebecca Hodges Photography.

While the Bride and Groom got ready at the Tomales Bay Resort, we set up their ceremony, cocktail, and reception space at the Dance Palace, a community center and event space in Point Reyes Station (not far from Cowgirl Creamery!). The couple was focused on a no-fuss but lots-of-fun event for their guests. Bouquets and aisle flowers were crafted by the Bride and many of the items were DIY or custom made by their friends, including their ceremony A-frame.

The ceremony was officiated by their good friend, the couple’s cute pup Murray gave Sean a pep talk beforehand, and Margaux’s mom walked her down the aisle. We queued the wedding party and watched from behind the scenes with hearts racing. The back lawn of the venue served as the perfect space for their short but sweet ceremony.

While the couple and guests were at the ceremony, we focused on greeting vendors and touching base on each of their set up and timelines for the evening. The Oyster Girls provided their shuck-and-go service which the guests enjoyed at cocktail hour and Smile City Photo Booth set up their station in the reception space. We made final tweaks on the reception decor to make sure it aligned with the couple’s vision.

Dinner was a pizza buffet with custom pies chosen by the couple, made fresh and served by Basic Catering. Margaux is of French descent and the classic dessert croquembouche served as the wedding cake, made by Victoria Bakery. The couple had the most touching first dance and they partied the night away to a custom Spotify playlist they made. While I set out the party favors, they had an epic lip-sync battle à la RuPaul’s Drag Race!

The couple and their friends went to the after party to keep the festivities going while I packed up all their personal decor and oversaw vendor cleanup and break down. I checked off every box on the closing check list so the couple could have fun and not have to worry about a thing!

Best Wishes to the happy newlyweds!

Thank you to Margaux and Sean for being the coolest couple and for trusting The Organization Organization with executing the day they’d been waiting for for almost 10 years! And of course, a shout out to all vendors who help bring everything together.
