Event Coordination intern (PAID)

The Organization Organization is looking to add an event coordination and planning intern to our Oakland-based team! We provide wedding and event coordination for parties of all sizes throughout the Bay Area.

You will learn about:

  • The development and organization of all aspects of wedding and event logistics, including agendas, schedules, timelines, and task lists

  • The ins and outs of the wedding and events industry

  • Small business management and what it takes to be an entrepreneur

You will assist with:

  • Day-of event preparation including packing, set up, and re-loading decorations

  • Communicating timeline with event vendors

  • Ensuring the flow of events set up is running smoothly

  • Venue walk throughs if necessary

  • 4-12 hours a month

You hopefully have:

  • Some experience in event production (throwing great parties counts!) but not necessary

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office and Google Docs

  • Planning and prioritization skills

  • Excellent written and verbal communication

  • A high energy, self-managing, and self-starter personality

  • The ability to multitask

  • Strong organizational skills and desire to learn and work in a fast-paced environment

  • Your own car and car insurance
